The ACHE’s Management Innovations Poster Session
An experienced healthcare and hospital administrator, Steve Carlson has served tenures as president of the Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) in Flagstaff, Arizona, and CEO of the Community Medical Center (CMC) in Missoula, Montana. He currently builds upon his past experience at FMC and CMC as a partner in Carlson, Gould and Associates, a healthcare consulting firm. Steve Carlson also holds active membership in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
In addition to administering board certification through the official ACHE Fellow (FACHE) designation, the ACHE sponsors a range of research initiatives. The organization encourages all healthcare management researchers to submit their work for the Management Innovations Poster Session of the annual ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership.
Past presentations at the Management Innovations Poster Session have covered topics such as leveraging community partnerships to reduce re-admissions for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and implementing lean Six Sigma processes to limit the excessive use of ancillary resources in surgical intensive care units. Candidates for the 2018 Management Innovations Poster Session can submit entries from the autumn of 2017 until January 16, 2018.
